Roster Role: 4pm Prayer

Vision

To publicly intercede for the people of Coast, our region and our world in a way that models biblical prayer.

Duties

  • Prepare well beforehand
  • Include any requests from the ministry staff

Checklist

  • Arrive at 340pm for the pre service prayer at 345pm
  • Take note of the service order on the run sheet
  • Come to the stage to pray when the MC indicates it's time

Notes

  • Pray both locally and globally
  • Check with staff before praying for any potentially sensitive pastoral issues
    • eg. someone may want their illness kept private
  • Seek to model biblical prayer 
    • Source ideas from Jesus prayers, the lords prayer, Paul's prayers etc
    • Quote/paraphrase scripture
    • Major on aligning requests with God's plan and purposes - and glory!
  • When praying for Coast the M's can be helpful - ie. that God would make us disciples who are:
    • Growing
    • Belonging
    • Serving and
    • Reaching out
